Terms and Conditions
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of Masters Direct, agents or anyone professionally connected with the competition.
Entrants may enter a maximum of one image. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other competition. Each entrant must ensure that they have obtained permission from the subject in any image submitted and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
No parties will be responsible in any way for the publication of an entry that is subsequently found to be in breach of copyright. Any such entry will be immediately disqualified.
All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
Copyright of all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. Winning and shortlisted images may be used by Masters Direct for publicity purposes in connection with this competition for a duration of no more than five years. They will be credited wherever used.
The winners agree to have their name and pictures used in publicity to promote the competition.
All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. In the unlikely event that a prize should become unavailable, Masters Direct reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
The first prize is a pair of tickets to the Games, return flights from London Heathrow to Delhi, seven nights' three-star accommodation, £500 spending money, two Indian visas, a Canon IXUS 105 camera and £50 Mastersdirect.com vouchers for all your travel needs. We also have four runners-up prizes which include a Canon IXUS 105 camera and £50 Mastersdirect.com vouchers.
The main prize winner must be able to travel between 11th and 18th October 2010 and will be responsible for their own travel costs to London Heathrow airport. Travel insurance is not included. Neither Masters Direct nor Practical Photography can be held responsible if the main prize winner and their chosen travel companion are refused Indian visas.
Winners will be notified by phone within 48 hours of the closing date. A list of winners and results can be obtained by writing to the promoter.
The promoters are Masters Direct.
The editor's decision is final and will not enter into any correspondence.
